It's all about the stitches!

My aim

Is to pass on skills and knowledge, and give people the building blocks to find their own creative voice. Workshops tend to be a mix of the technical and the creative, with the learning process broken down into smaller workable section, allowing folk to work at their own pace.

Workshops

When working with groups everybody starts with a given workshop project, then through asking questions and listening , the project idea is developed and tweaked, moving in the direction they want to take things. I actively encourage mixing things up, and exploring the textile possibilities.

Techniques

I can't help but see pattern and texture everywhere, and interpreting these into textiles is my thing. The accessibility of hand knit and crochet, along with the never ending variety of techniques that can be used allows me to indulge in this obsession. Patterns

Carol is a knit and crochet designer based in Glasgow Scotland. She has many years of experience as a workshop tutor for both knit and crochet.
