After Thought Heel Sock
In this workshop you will work through the basic techniques used when knitting a pair of socks. You will look at working in the round with double pointed needles and how to insert an afterthought heel. You will also have some fun with colour, playing about with stripes and for the more adventurous knitter adding a touch of Fair Isle pattern to the design.

Must be confident with the basic stitches.

Professional Finishing Techniques
Often with hand knitted garments it can be the finishing off that can let you down. On this workshop we will show you how to get that professional look to your knitted garments. On the day we will work through tried and tested increasing and decreasing methods, picking up stitches and creating button holes and button bands. We will also look at the various mattress stitch methods and where and when to use them to get the best results. On the day you will be asked to bring a selection of pre knitted swatches with you to sew together.
